DeWayne Routt Obituary
ROUTT, DeWayne (Eddie)
Remembered with Love. DeWayne, born on February 7, 1949, passed suddenly on August 9, 2007, at 58. Survived by his children, whom he loved dearly Joanne (Lonnie) Coulombe, Michelle (JoJo) Routt-Barrera, Karen (Chris) Ehlert, and Brian DeWayne (Renee) Routt, and by his former wife and best friend Ellen Routt. Also survived by brothers David (Kathy) Routt and Daryl Gene Routt, sisters Dianna (Bill) Pettit, Carol (Les) Hudson, Teri (Dave) Hudson, Debbie Routt, and Barbie Wood. Also survived by nine beloved grandchildren, his beloved nephew, Jason DeWayne Routt, and many nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by his parents, David Routt and Dorothy Wood, and by his brother Lee, and his nephew Tyler Routt. DeWayne was a kind and gentle person, trusting, intelligent, a very hard worker, with gifted hands, and possessed the uncanny knowledge and ability to repair anything. He will be greatly missed and is much loved by his large family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 26, at 1:00 PM. You are welcome to come to 5801 26th Street, Rio Linda, CA 95673 (South off of Elkhorn Blvd.).

DeWayne you were always my brother-in -law whether you and Ellen were married or not. You were really more like a Brother than a Brother-in-law.
And I thank you for all you did for me. And all the fun times we shared. And thanks for the time you snd Jill saved me from going down your stairs, on Goldsmith. I'll remember you for that forever.
I know you will be watching over all of us.
Don't have to much fun with Tom if you meet up with him.
And by some odd chance should you meet up with your Father-in-law tell him I miss him alot. And that I wish he was still here. I wish you were too.
I just can't believe that you are gone.

DeWayne, We will love you always. We miss you so much. We still can't believe you are gone. Thank you for your help on our new home. We wish you were moving into the home with us as we had planned. Whenever we look at the fireplace that you helped build, we will think of you. We know that you are with us in spirit and we will always keep you close in our hearts.

My belief is that our brother has not left us but rather has just moved forward.I will miss my brother in law and friend. He leaves us with many memories.He reminds me so much of his father who had the gift to fix just about anything.He had a smile that stretched from ear to ear.Im thankful I was able to see him this summer even if it were just for a short while.I feel blessed to have had Dwayne as a brother in law for 35 years.We didnt see each other often but when we did it was always memorable.Carol and I want to express to his children,his friends,to his special friend Ellen,and to Dave,Kathy,and Jason who took special care of Dwayne for many years that we are so sorry for the loss we all feel at this time.Dwayne I know your with your father,your mother, brother Lee, and nephew Tyler and many others. DeWayne, I will always remember you for all the fun things you done for myself and family while we lived next door on 62nd st. to you and youre family. Also for letting me live with youre family those times in my youth age, also for being so persitant in getting me to come to the partys because Tim Clagg Sr. wanted you to fix me up with him. Without you and Ellen being there to help me, I never would have found and married my best friend. I'm so gratefull for that, because we had 3 beautiful children, and well now you are up in HEAVEN with Tim Clagg Sr. and our son Timmy Clagg Jr. and of course my mom who loved to party with you all, most the night. You have always been a good influence on me as to very hard working husband, father for youre family. To the family of DeWayne Routt he will always have a special spot in my heart for all the fun we all had together. He was a man who enjoyed life to the fullest that I remember, and will so be dearly missed by so many.
