BERMUDEZ, Dolores Marie Angel

Dolores' soul was set free to be with Our Lord and Savior on May 16, 2014 with her family by her side. She resided in Sacramento, CA. and was born in Madera, CA. on October 28, 1928 to parents Maria De Jesus Montiel Angel and Baleriano Angel. Dolores was blessed to have sisters Angie and Cora, along with her brothers Rudy, Alex and Louie who all preceded her in their journey to Heaven. Dolores was married on September 3, 1961 to Frank C. Bermudez and they had three beautiful children, Ronnie (Kimmie), John (Juanita), Mari (Andres), and her god-child, Alicia. She is survived by her loving grandkids Christina, Briana, Justin, Andres, Benny, Victor, plus two others that she considered grandkids, Courtney and Kyle, whom she loved very much. Dolores also had two great-grandkids Jaydn and Dylan. Dolores loved her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Dolores graduated from Woodland High School and pursued a career with Pacific Bell for over 33 years before retiring in 1983. After retiring she continued working on rentals and could outwork any man, hands down, all 100 lbs of her. She truly was an amazing woman. Dolores never met a stranger, but instead a new friend for life. Her home was always open to family and friends throughout her life. She was always the life of the party and enjoyed making others smile. She enjoyed spending time with family, singing, dancing, travelling and flowers. She was a working mother who took great pride in her family and her commitment to God. She showed us all by example how to love through acts of generosity and reaching out to those less fortunate. Such an angel she was here on Earth and now in Heaven, and how truly blessed we were to have had her. 'Momma Doris' as she was affectionately called, was a devout Catholic and attended St. Anthony's Parish in Greenhaven, Sacramento. The family would like to express our deepest gratitude for the loving care that Maria Alena De Loerca provided Momma Doris, not only as a friend, but as a family member as well. We would have been lost without her, and her devotion to Momma Doris. Gracias Maria for being such a wonderful person! We love you! A Special Thank you also, to Ray Perez. In honor of Dolores, we would ask that people wear bright colors to the services. We will miss you Nana! Love you forever!
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 22 from 5-7:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 7:00PM at George L. Klumpp Chapel of Flowers, 2691 Riverside Blvd., Sacramento, CA. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 23, 10:00 AM, at St. Anthony's Church, 660 Florin Road, Sacramento, CA. Burial immediately following at St. Mary's Cemetery, with reception afterwards.
