Donald Birmingham Obituary


BIRMINGHAM, DONALD
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 16, 2002, a resident of Sacramento for 33 years. Born November 5, 1928 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to the union of Lee Clarence Birmingham and Irma Francis Young. He was united in marriage to Arnece McFarland in April 1956, who preceded him in death in 1992. He served in the US Navy for two tours and later retired from the US Air Force after 28 years of service. Was a member of the VFW and a charter member of the American Red Cross. He is survived by his son, Kenneth E. Birmingham of Sacramento; his brother, Vaughn J. Birmingham of Stockton, CA; his sister, Cecelia M. Birmingham; six grandchildren, Kiara, Jasmine, Damon, Trevor, Kris and Alexandria, and five great-grandchildren. His family invites you to his viewing on Monday from 1 - 5 PM and to a Celebration of his Life on Tuesday at 1 PM both in Thompson's Rose Chapel, 3601 Fifth Avenue. Interment will be on Wednesday at 1 PM in San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to THOMPSON FUNERAL HOME, INC.
