JOHNSON, Donald
Donald Johnson, 87, loving son of Harry L. and Mignon Johnson, born on August 6, 1922 at the family farm west of Dixon, California, passed away on April 15, 2010 at his home in Dixon. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, sister Eileen Carlson of Davis and brother Harry E. "Bub" Johnson of Dixon. He is survived by his sister Genevieve Spurlin of Sacramento; brother-in-law Stephen Carlson of Davis; and children, Donna (husband Patrick Cassidy) of Phoenix, AZ, Carol Cullop of Vacaville, Donald (wife Anne) of Klamath Falls, OR, Lynda (husband John Molina) of Vacaville, Rick (wife Leslie) of Grass Valley, David (wife Isa) of Fresno, Jim (wife Kim) of Auburn, Marlina of Elk Grove, and Bryan (wife Diane) of Sacramento; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Donald was a fourth generation native of Dixon and was widely known as a very hardworking and respected businessman and father. He served the residents of the Dixon area as a Real Estate Broker for over 50 years and also owned and operated a local community care home for over 10 years. Donald also enjoyed playing the accordion and led a local band (Donny J's) as a young man in the 1940s. He also served his country with honor during World War II in the United States Coast Guard. Friends and family will attend Graveside Services at the Silveyville Cemetery (800 South First Street, Dixon) on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 2:00 pm. Arrangements under the direction of Milton Carpenter Funeral Home in Dixon (707-448-6546).
