Dorothy Bevers Obituary

Dorothy Ann Bevers

July 31, 1948 - March 24, 2025

Antelope, California - Dorothy Ann (Endres) Bevers, Beloved Wife and Soulmate, 76, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 24, 2025. Dorothy was born July 31,1948 to Emma (Harding)) and Theodore Endres in New Rockford, North Dakota. She and her family moved to Sacramento, California in 1964. She attended San Juan High School, graduating class of 1966. She is survived by her loving husband Ronald (Ron); her son Derek (Loryn); her sister Mary (Winslow) Helt; and younger brothers Jim and Donald (Yolanda) Endres. She was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Emma Endres; her older brothers Bob and Marty Endres; and her younger brother Ron (Vickie) Endres. Dorothy met her husband Ron on a blind date in February 1988. They were married October 14, 1989 and celebrated their 35th anniversary in 2024. Dorothy's work life was a claims adjuster in the insurance industry. First for California Casualty Insurance Company, CNA and finally Liberty Mutual. During that time she enjoyed playing soft ball, bowling and golf. For the last nine years Dorothy has been a volunteer with the Mercy San Juan Guild on the hospital surgery desk. Wherever Dorothy has been she has made countless friends. Dorothy was kind, considerate, cheerful, generous, compassionate, loving, sympathetic and thoughtful. If you knew Dorothy you loved Dorothy. Dorothy regularly attended mass at the Mercy San Juan Chapel where she was a lay reader at Saturday mass. Dorothy and Ron loved to travel, going to restaurants (especially Sienna's, Q1227, and Ruth's Chris), and going to the movies. She was part of a Bunco group for 25 years. Dorothy would meet regularly with some of the "Bunco Babes" for birthdays or just because for dinner, drinks and conversation. A life long baseball fan she began by cheering on her brothers in youth baseball. Dorothy and Ron were fans of the Oakland A's watching games on TV and occasionally went to games and Spring training. Dorothy will be truly missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 23, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at the Timber Creek Ballroom, 7050 Del Webb Blvd., Roseville, CA 95747.

In lieu of flowers Dorothy requested contributions be made to the Sacramento Children's Home.

My childhood sleep overs with Aunt Dorothy were filled with Barbie figurines from McDonald happy meals, Disney movies galore, playing Candyland, being read to sleep, and great food. Into adulthood, we enjoyed shopping, getting mani pedis, & celebrating birthdays & holidays. Although life took us in busy, different directions, she had many friends & family around her always for she was fun, full of life, supportive, funny, and welcoming. She will be dearly missed and remembered by all those close to her. Heaven is now a fun place for sure.
