Dorothy Reib Obituary
June 2, 1933 - October 1, 2021
Sacramento, California - The family of Dorothy Immogene Reib (née Leis) would like to announce her passing on Friday, October 1, 2021, at the age of 88.
Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her children, Connie (Al), Larry (Linda), Sue; granddaughters Juliette, Chelsea (Michael), Marina; brother Ken, numerous other family members & friends, and her sweet dog Casey.
Dorothy was pre-deceased by her husband, Benjamin; parents, David and Grace, and brother Louis.
Dorothy was born in Minatare, Nebraska, and grew up in Scottsbluff. She married Ben on Christmas Eve, 1951. They subsequently moved to Denver, then California, and never looked back.
Ben worked for United Airlines and Dorothy loved their many travels together. She was employed as a commercial secretary with Radio Corporation of America for twenty years. She enjoyed her church community, cooking for her family, country music, and a good margarita or glass of champagne. She was an expert seamstress, creating and repairing everything 'textile' for family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Christ Community Church, 5025 Manzanita Avenue in Carmichael, on October 29th at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow at her home.
The family wishes to send a special thank-you to the staff at Mercy San Juan Hospital for their care and compassion.

I've known the Reib family for over 45 years. At times, I felt like one of the 'kids'! Remembering Dorothy with her sincere smile, cheerful laughter & loving ways. All of my heart-felt condolences go out to the family.
