Fair Oaks, California - Born November 15, 1935 in Coolidge, AZ, Earlene passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on September 19 at age 87. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, James Borden. Greatly missed by son Timm Borden and wife Blanca of San Jose; daughter Glenda Cox and husband Damon of Fair Oaks. Forever remembered by grandchildren Gabriel, Bryce, Aubrey, Ryan and Sean. Survived by brother Lee Hicks of Aurora, CO and sister Sue Kloosterman of Gold Canyon, AZ. A caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, her greatest love was time spent with others. The family extends their sincere gratitude to the caregivers who provided Earlene with comfort, care and support during her final days. A Celebration of Life will be held at Oakmont of Fair Oaks, 8484 Madison Avenue, Fair Oaks, CA 95628 on Sunday, October 22 from 11am to 1pm.

Hi Tim, Glenda and family,
Your mom was a wonderful spirit who I know will be miss greatly by all of you. I remember many wonderful visits with you all coming to visit my grandma Gladys when we were young. I am so sorry for your loss but remember God did receive another angel who will alway watch over you all. All my love,

My dear Tim and Glenda, I just received word of Earlene's passing. I have fond memories of our early days fishing, and going to the coast for more fishing. Listening to the Jim and Earlene talking with Grandma Gladys and Aunt Cora in their Oky kind of manner around the kitchen table are flooding my thoughts. My greatest condolences to the family. I really enjoyed knowing Aunt Earlene. She was always hospitable, had a great sense of humor and we always had a great time when we'd visit our or her and the family would come up and visit Jim's mom in Oregon. I esp. Enjoyed going to the jazz festival with her/Jim one year. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family during this time.
