I didn't know Eddie very well. I was Captaining a slow pitch softball team for a few years back in the 1970's and we weren't very good. A teammate told me he could get Eddie to play Short Stop and I was all for it. He was a super nice guy and made everything look so easy. He was definitely the best player on our team and the one season he played with us, we made the playoffs. Seemed to me he always had a smile on his face. My condolences to his family and friends.
