Elliott Gabriel Wong

1989 - 2017

Elliott Gabriel Wong of San Francisco, passed away of natural causes on Saturday, January 28th. He was born April 27, 1989 in Sacramento, CA. Elliott is survived by his parents David and Karen Wong; his brother Dustin, sister-in-law, Jennifer, and nephew Jackson; his brother Kyle, and sister-in-law Boo. He also leaves his paternal grandparents Don Jr. and Emily Wong; his maternal grandmother Pat Derr; his aunt Donna Wong; his aunt and uncle Diane and Steve Lindstrom, along with many cousins, extended loving families, loving friends, and his cat Charlie. It takes a village and he had a strong one. Elliott graduated from Christian Brothers High School in 2007. He attended Chico State before realizing his passion for the culinary arts, which led him to the California Culinary Academy of San Francisco, where he graduated in 2012. Elliott was a passionate and accomplished chef, working at many restaurants including the Barrel House Tavern of Sausalito, Anchor and Hope, Hops and Hominy, and most notable as Sous Chef under the direction of a Michelin Star chef at Per Diem, San Francisco. Elliott had contagious energy and ever-present smile, he touched many lives with his infectious laughter and loving heart and soul. Just as much as we were all looking out for him he was looking out for us. He had a passion for living life to the fullest, always willing to explore and take a challenge. There will be a memorial service celebrating Elliott's life on Saturday, February 4th , from 2:00-5:30pm at Harding Park, 99 Harding Road, San Francisco, CA 94132.
