TIMOSCHUK, EUGENE
ROBERT
Born: September 17, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA. Deceased: June 27, 2003. After a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Gene passed peacefully away at his Newcastle residence on Friday morning surrounded by his family and close friends. He is survived by his wife Cheryl. They were married 32 years. Daughter Nicole and son in law Jeremy Zorne and granddaughter Eden Zorne, of Auburn, CA. Daughter Christine Timoschuk of San Diego. His mother in law, Mae Evans, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His loving sister in law and husband Beverly and Joseph Tucker of Boca Raton, Florida. His niece Kelly Tucker of Boynton Beach, Florida and nephew, Jeffrey Tucker of Boca Raton, Florida. He is also survived by his Mother, Katherine Timoschuk of Huntington Beach, CA. Also his brother and sister in law, Steven and Connie Timoschuk and nephews Michael and Vincent of Huntington Beach, CA. Gene worked as a Journeyman Air Conditioning and Refrigeration technician for over 37 years and just recently retired. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and was honorably discharged in 1963. He lived in Los Angeles until he married and moved to Placer County in 1976. Gene was an avid fly fisherman and loved the game of golf. Gene will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a giving, generous and gentle person who always helped others. A loving husband and father and a devoted grandfather to Eden. A viewing will be held at Chapel of the Hills in Auburn on Tuesday, July 1st, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and vigil at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph's Church in Auburn on Wednesday, July 2nd at 10:00 AM and interment immediately following at Newcastle Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Portugese Hall adjacent to the cemetery immediately following. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to Sutter Auburn Faith Hospice (530) 886-6650.
