Franz Edelmayer Obituary

Franz Edelmayer

November 10, 1936 - April 28, 2024

Sacramento, California - Franz (Frank) Edelmayer, the beloved head of our family, passed away peacefully at home on April 28, 2024. Franz leaves behind his beloved partner Brigitte Hildebrandt, son Eric (Eileen), grandchildren Alec, Peter, Kerri and Kylie and great grandson Ezra.

Franz was a quiet man, but when he spoke everyone listened because what he had to say was profound and insightful. He was born in Enns, Austria on November 10, 1936, and came to America in 1958 in search of a better life. He was proceeded in death by his parents Johann & Paulina Edelmayer, brothers Hans, Robert and Fred and sisters Flora, Paula and Ingrid.

Franz was the true American success story having built multiple businesses out of nothing but grit and determination. He was a wonderful friend to many and always shared his wisdom and love, especially over a beer. He will forever remain in our hearts and inspire our actions.

Danke Franz!
