Fred Jaramillo Obituary

After a meaningful life of more than 97 years, Fred Jaramillo passed away peacefully on July 14, 2014. He was a beloved husband of more than 65 years to Gabrielita Jaramillo and a caring father of his only daughter, Priscilla Faye Saavedra. Fred is survived by his grandson (Dave), Sister (Terry), Brother (Mercy), sister-in-law (Nora), and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and four brothers. A hard-working, self-employed business owner, Fred was known by his friends, neighbors and family for his humor, infectious smile, and kind and caring nature. Born and raised in New Mexico, he moved to Los Angeles for a few years before moving back to run his family's general store in New Mexico. He and his wife, Gaby, moved to Sacramento in the mid-1960s where they started a window cleaning and janitorial business. They purchased a home in the Arden-Arcade area where they lived and flourished for nearly 40 years. While he will be missed, Fred is finally reunited with his wife and daughter. The visitation (9 a.m.) and service (10 a.m.) will be held on Monday, July 21 at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA 95628, (916) 969-1251.

Rest in peace Tio. He was a great uncle to Jeannette and me. I remember Tio from when I was just a kid and he will be missed. We went to visit tio on Sep of 2013. This was our 3rd visit to see him. We also saw Tia Gaby when she was alive in Butano Drive.
