Sacramento, California - George passed away on 7/2, at the age of 99. He graduated from the University of Colorado in engineering and used those skills in the Navy as part of the Seabees and in a long career at the California Department of Transportation doing bridge design. He was forever helping anyone who needed it and always up for adventure. He had deep faith and was a devoted member of All Hallows' Parish. He leaves behind his 6 children: Greg (Rose Marie), Carol, Jeff (Elizabeth), Janet, Laura (Joe) and Margaret; 18 grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Jean. Family and friends are invited to a Vigil Service on Wed., July 26 at 7:00pm at All Hallows' Catholic Church, with the funeral mass and reception to follow on Thurs., July 27 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Mercy McMahon Terrace, 3865 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95816; All Hallows' Church Development Fund, 5500 13th Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95820; or the charity of your choice. Our condolences on your dad passing. How wonderful that he lived such a rich life for 99years. Our parents were partners in crime working for All Hallows parish and community. They have so much of their time and talents. Their contributions are everlasting. God bless him as he joins those before him and Heaven is celebrating his arrival with so many who shared their lives serving all of us from All Hallows. God Bless and bring you solace during this time of grief.
