Dear Danica, Rob, Zorka and family

It is with deep sadness that I heard of the passing of Gojko. Having only met him within the last few years, now I can only wish I had visited with him more often. I remember meeting a man who was a loving human soul and upon reading about his life, he was obviously able to cultivate people and transform personalities for the greater good. He did his part, may we remember his example and carry on. When the Bells ring at our Church of the Holy Assumption in Fair Oaks, may we glorify God, and may we also be thankful for Church Benefactors like Gojko. "Vechnaya Pamjat"

Dear Dana & Family,

I want you to know that you are all in my prayers. I wish I could have been at the sevices for Gordon, but I was there in spirit. I will always remember Gordon for his beautiful smile, his cheerful laugh, and the special hugs he gave me. I can hear him saying my name as I write this. One day we will all be together again.

Love your God-daughter-Joan

Gordon and his family have been part of our family since before 1927 when his mother was the maid of honor at my parents wedding, in Bisbee AZ. We have remained such close friends right to the end. Somebody was talking about what a hero he was during WW.II. I told them He was a hero from birth and my hero to death. He and his sister are god Parents to our daughter and we will all miss him very much. He is in a better place today.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of Gordons family and many many friends.

I met Gordon in 1945 when he was working on the Sheldon Ranch in Suisun Valley. I learned then what a wonderful soul he had and in the years that followed whenever I would see Gordon he always had a smile and a kind word for me and my family.

He will certainly be missed as he was a wonderful gentleman.

Gordon taught us how to laugh and how to live. Gordon taught us how to stand and how to respect. Thank you Gordon

Mr. Gojkovich was a delightful man. In the short time I knew him, I saw a man of great integrity and joy. His joy now knows no boundaries. Rest in peace thou good and faithful servant.

Gordon was a man with a big loving heart. He always talked about the need to reach out to the needy, to help improve the deplorable condition of the less fortunate.

I remember my first day at work in the assessor office in 1983,when Gordon first told me about his country of origin, his love for farming, his church, his sister...

He introduced me to everyone, then showed me my new office and with that huge smile, said something like " Take care of the farmers and businesses and taxpayers. Be good and you'll be okay..."

We would go to a farm equipment auction in Stockton and he'd be talking about any topic while driving. He was in good mood all the time.Knew every farmer in the auction event.

He is loved by many because he truly cared. A model of honesty, in words and deeds.
