I was a youth and young adult during Mr. Smith's tenure as Verdugo Hills Scout Executive. I remember he had a lot of tough decisions to make, not all of them popular at the time, but because of his dedication and work we still have Verdugo Hills Council today. Thank you for your service to Scouting as our prayers go out to you and your family!

Harry, Marge and family were a wonderful presence in the Verdugo Hills Council, Scouts BSA. Harry left a lasting legacy for the youth of our area with his vision, administrative acumen and kind demeanor. Kathryn recalls happy times in the Smith home, where Harry & Marge frequently hosted the staff of the Council, when she worked as a District Executive under Harry's leadership. Hard to find photos, since Harry was always the photographer! :-).
