I never met Miss Hattie but I talked to her on the phone once. I was looking
for her son Roosevelt's phone number. I was trying some of the Rushton
phone numbers in the telephone book. When I got her on the phone she
immediately said Roosevelt was her son and she quickly gave me his
number. She was a friendly, soft-spoken lady!
My sincere condolences to the entire Rushton family!

I would just like to say I Loved SISTER RUSHTON, and her family we were all like a great big Family because we all had something in common, we all moved from Mobile, Al. Just about the same time, and attached the same Church,and the same school,and College. I do not know Miss Hattie but I've known her son, former wife, and grandkids Raven, Raynisha,& Cherrae --and they are fundamental folks...u did good Miss Hattie Rest now they got it!! Mother Rushton loved her children. She went above and beyond the call of her motherly duties. If any of her children needed her for anything she would not hesitate to drop everything she's doing at a drop of a dime to assist them. I am honored to have had her in my life for 45 years.
