Howard Fong Obituary
FONG, Howard Hee
Born July 31, 1910 in Toisan of Canton, China. Passed away peacefully on August 5, 2009 in Carmichael, CA. Immigrated to US in 1926. Resident of Sacramento since 1941. He was a local business owner (Hiway Market, Carmichael Supermarket, and Asia Cafe). Long-standing member of Soo Yuen Benevolent Association. Howard was an honorable, peaceful, generous, and respectful man who was always there to help others. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Lau Mee. He is survived by his son Gary (Karen); daughters, Beverly Gee (Ben), Emma and Donna; granddaughters, Geneva Ratliff (Scott), Gina Hashisaka (Darrin), and Linda; great-grandchildren, Alissa, Justin, Kevin and Breanna. Friends are invited to attend the wake 6:00pm Friday, August 14, 2009, and the Funeral Service, 11:00am Saturday, August 15, 2009 at the GEORGE L. KLUMPP CHAPEL OF FLOWERS, Riverside Boulevard and 2nd Avenue. Interment at East Lawn Memorial Park, 4300 Folsom Boulevard.
