The Day Our Hearts Broke
July 15, 2009

Isaac had a servant's heart,
volunteering at Christ
Community Church's nursery
and the youth ministry's
sound booth. His passion
was Botany and he had
planned to study and
work in that field.
Isaac loved his job
at In-N-Out Burger
and everyone who worked with
him recognized his joy and
hard work. In 19 years
Isaac accomplished so much,
he valued his relationships
and loved on so many people.

His family and friends
from In-N-Out Burger, Troop 55,
Christ Community Church and
throughout all Carmichael
too many to name will love
and miss his smiling face
and cheerful presence.

Affectionate, fun-loving and
compassionate brother of
Jachob-Michael,
Elias-Michael
and Solomon-Michael.

Free-spirited, warm-hearted
and IRREPLACEABLE son of
Michael and Muri Bartkovsky.

Family and friends are invited
to attend a visitation on
Tuesday, July 21st from 4-8PM
at Reichert's Funeral Chapel,
7320 Auburn Blvd., Citrus
Heights, and a funeral service
on Wednesday, July 22nd
at 10AM at Christ Community
Church, 5025 Manzanita Ave.,
Carmichael with burial to
follow at Fair Oaks Cemetery.

Isaac, I remember you the as the sweet little boy with a spirit to match your smile. You were such a polite, precious young man. I remember watching you and Karissa talking and flirting with each other in Sunday school I'm deeply saddened by your parting and do not understand everything and why it happens but I take comfort in my beliefs that those of us who knew and loved you, will one day see you again in the Lord's Mansion. Until that day Isaac, rest. I pray that God holds your family and dries their tears of the void that is felt by all of us.

I knew Issac as well. I was best friends with with his younger brother. Issac was a very sweet, funny, and caring man. His family accepted Jesus. They go to a great church! I am very sorry for their loss. I am very shocked now. I hope his family is doing okay and that they have time to heal. I will pray for Issac's family and the many who knew Issac.

It breaks my heart that he is gone, and In-N-Out will miss a great Fry Guy.. He was a lot of fun to be around, easy going and a joy to work with.... I didn't really know Isaac personally, but my brother was good friends with him. He's brokenhearted about it and has had to break the news to many people. We actually found out last night right after his father did. My heart breaks for this whole situation and it saddens me that such a young life was taken away. EVERY life is precious and is of value. My prayers go out to the family and to everyone hurting in this situation. veronicarae2002, I feel so bad for your daughter. My heart is aching because no one deserves this fate. Isaac was one of the most charming young man I have had the pleasure of knowing. Isaac and my son spent six years together in scouts, we were blessed to be a part of Isaac, and the family's, life. This family is one of those families that you felt love and joy from all the time. Thank you for the memories Isaac, you are loved and will be missed... To the family, I am so sorry for your tragedy. Isaac was taken, not lost, but will be remembered always...with a smile on his face.

My heart goes out to the Bartkovsky family while you grieve the loss of such a wonderful son, brother, grandson and friend. Isaac was a friend to us. When I think of him I smile. He always wanted to do something funny. Most of the time he really didn’t care if he would get in trouble or not it was just fun to him. Isaac and his brothers are adored by his parents and so many family and friends. We first meet Isaac at boy scouts, and continue getting to know him at church. He was a small group leader for our son during VBS and did so many practical jokes on those kids. Remembering all the joyful times puts a smile on my face just as Isaac would want.

I pray your hearts will be filled with wonderful memories. As time passes, and as life's routine return, may you continue to feel comfort by those who love you and care about you. May you be comforted by your cherished memories of a wonderful young man. Our deepest condolences, Our prayers are with you.

Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16

He will wipe every tear from their eyes. Rev 21:4

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Psalm 143:8

This sudden loss hurts me to hear, I have so many great memories with Isaac that I will treasure, He always made you laugh, he gave best hugs, and I was always so excited to see him. I met him at church and our relationship continued outside of church we would stay up all night just talking about nothing, he had a way of making me smile even just over the phone. One of my fondest memories is making him a story book with disney princesses. Isaac was a great guy, and amazing with kids. It makes me so sad he never got a chance to have his own. I am so sorry for the loss of his amazing family.
I will always keep him and his family in my heart, my thoughts and my prayers.
I am just happy to know that I will definitely see Isaac again in heaven.

Our family had the privilege of meeting Isaac at church and through cubscouts and boyscouts. Isaac and my older son Bryce were very much alike with very playful adventurous natures and enjoyed a close friendship in boyscouts. They shared the same patrol and numerous camping trips together, Isaac was Bryce's best friend in the troop and we are heartbroken to hear this news.

We also know he was loved in church and served in many areas and are grateful he was brought up in a loving christian family, which gives us hope and strength knowing we will see him again one day.

Thank you Bartovsky family for sharing your son with us. We lift your family up in prayer with thanksgiving, and love.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
