Isabella HEREDIA Obituary

HEREDIA, Isabella Michelle
Passed away peacefully on February 11, 2011. Her presence will be greatly missed by her loving parents, Samantha Weiland and Joseph Heredia; uncles, John (Nataliya) Heredia, Gavino Valdez, Ronald Weiland, Ted Gualtier and Richard Martin; aunts, Rachel Valdez, and Amanda James; cousin Anthony Heredia; great-great-grandmothers, Mary Comer and Tomasita Torres; great-grandmothers, Joanne Bardette, Mary Lopez and Joanne Weiland; grandmothers, Terri James and Kathy Kechter; and grandparents, Ruth and Robert 'Papa' Amaro. Her parents were chosen by God to bring forth this child (Bella) which brought love into their lives and gave them a sense of purpose. Her birth was an example of God's grace and love. Bella uplifted people's spirits with her presence and her radiant smile that gave hope, joy, and peace to everyone who came in contact with her. She was an expression of love which was defined by her beauty and portrayed through her spirit inside. Her energy was so contagious, especially when music was played, she would begin to sing and dance. She possessed unconditional love to her family and allowed them to come together to experience God's greatest gift. Family and friends are invited to a rosary on Thursday, February 17 at 7:00pm at George L. Klumpp Chapel of Flowers, 2691 Riverside Blvd., Sacramento, CA and a funeral mass on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 9:30am at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 660 Florin Road, Sacramento, CA. Burial will immediately follow services at St. Mary's Cemetery, 6700 21st Avenue, Sacramento, CA. A reception will follow from noon-3:00pm in St. Anthony's Parish Hall.

During this month, we begin to get into the holidays and come closer to ending the year and beginning a new one. With Thanksgiving this week, I stop and think of things that I am most grateful. I am thankful for my family that supports me in all that I do and providing me the love needed to go each day. I stop to teach my son Anthony that we must love our family. He remembers Isabella and says that he loves her very much and she is with Jesus. I respond by telling my son that Isabella loved him very much too. I tell him that we are thankful God gave Isabella to be in our lives.
Even though Isabella will not be here this holiday physically, she will be in our memories, spirit and thoughts. The holidays season allows us to reflect on the year and see what we are thankful and Isabella was a child that I will forever be thankful and love.

It has been six months, since Isabella (Bella) has passed away..

In our short time together, my love for her will be in my heart forever. Many days and moments have passed, I don't know how much longer the pain will last..
My broken heart is so heavy with sadness as I go on each day, wanting only to have this pain of mine go away..
My only comfort is thought's of Bella's beautiful smile and bright eyes that were filled with so much love, I know she is a "Angel" in heaven above..

As days past and life's moments occur, I stop to contemplate how fragile life really becomes. The last moment I shared with Isabella was at Christmas, when my son Anthony and Bella opened presents together. Both were so innocent without worry or knowledge of the complexity of the lives they were involved. For that brief moment, life's purpose was presented in the form of two cousins interacting with each other.
As Anthony grows and gets older, I contemplate all the moments Isabella and Anthony shared knowing that quantity is not a factor that he will experience, but quality and brief moments my son will forever hold in his heart.
Anthony still talks about Bella in the present tense which allows me to appreciate the moments in my life that I hold in my heart, because they become alive and present as long as we hold and cherish them.
As the same for Isabella Heredia.

Today is five months since my grand-daughter (Bella) passed away unexpetedly.

As each day goes by, the journey of grief continues. Although there are moments of anguish, there are also moments of joy.

Bella's beautiful bright eyes and radiant smile is still prevelent in our memory and etched in our heart"s..

They Say There is a Reason

They say there is a reason,
They say that time will heal,
But neither time nor reason,
Will change the way I feel,
For no-one knows the heartache,
That lies behind our smiles,
No-one knows how many times,
We have broken down and cried,
We want to tell you something,
So there won't be any doubt,
You're so wonderful to think of,
But so hard to be without.

Out of all the days of the year, today on Father's Day honors the dads that have striven to be the best father that they can be.
Isabella brought my brother a gift that allows him to be honored on this special day. The day Isabella was born, Joseph's whole life changed and he exemplified a true dad. I admired the way he placed Isabella first ahead of his needs, and he even went to the extent to put his life on the line in Iraq to give Isabella a better life than expected.
On this day, Isabella came to my mind as I too celebrate Father's Day, because she made my brother a father which is the greatest gift in life to any man. So, as we celebrate all the fathers, lets us stop and thank our children who create the men we become because of them.

May 12, 2011

Although life may go on and we continue to make memories, I pause for moments at a time and think of Isabella. I contemplate the joy she brought, the smile she wore, and the laughter she expressed. It's hard to understand and the reason behind this life, but I thank God for Isabella's existence in her short life.
Whenever I feel lost or caught up in life, I take a moment to think of Isabella and how she brought life. When I get frustrated with Anthony or the things he does, I think of Isabella and it reminds me that its not that big of a deal to be mad.
Its hard to know or understand that my neice is gone, but I appreciate her life for she brought me so much wisdom and purpose to mine.
I often hear that, "time will heal things", but this saying is for pain. Isabella was the opposite, so time just matures and allows her to live forever. Days, months and years will pass, but no matter what I will forever remember Isabella for she was an angel that will be with me always.

Today is three months since Isabella (Bella) went to heaven. Missing her every day...

Thinking of You with Love

We thought of you with love today,
but that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday,
and days before that too.
We think of you in silence,
we often speak your name.
All we have are memories,
and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake,
with which we will never part.
God has you in His keeping,
we have you in our hearts.
A million times we`ve wanted you.
A million times we cried.
If love could only have saved you,
you never would have died.
It broke our hearts to lose you.
But you didn`t go alone.
For a part of us went with you...
the day God called you Home.

When movements feel like dreams in the night,
I ponder the thoughts of my dear niece.
Her beauty and innocence catch the eye at first sight,
But her flesh and smile now live in peace.

The laughter she brought to sooth our soul,
And the unconditional love she gave me inside.
Only to wonder and contemplate my role
In which my life’s purpose that God will provide.

Oh, how Isabella brought life and meaning to all;
To those around near and far in contact with her,
Because the gifts she blessed us in which we saw,
And leading us the direction we must now steer.

Bella now whispers to my thoughts and feelings aloud;
For she will forever be with us if we allow.

Today is two months since Isabella (Bella) went to heaven..she is deeply missed by all of us, especially her parents.
Only through God's Grace..that we go forth & endure our journey. Thank you to all of you that have been so thoughtful & loving during this difficult time for our families. Found this poem today that gave me comfort and joy...

God sent an angel to the earth
By Unknown Author

God sent an angel to the earth...
The sweetest angel too
and for such a tiny little thing,
she had so much to do.
She knew she did not have
much time upon this earth to stay,
so she did not waste a second;
she got started right away.
Her eyes were bright and sparkly,
she took in every turn.

She did not miss a single thing,
because ISABELLA (Bella) came to learn!
God sent her here to touch the
hearts of those he could not reach...
She taught them courage, strength and faith,
because ISABELLA (Bella) came to teach.

Her tiny little body
was so full of God above,
you felt it when you held her,
because ISABELLA (Bella) came to love.

In sixteen short months she managed
what many never will.
When she went home to Jesus,
her purpose was fulfilled.
She learned and taught, loved and played,
she learned her lessons well.
I know he was so proud of her
when she went home to dwell.

But when I (we) miss her OH-SO-MUCH,
I (we) can almost hear him say,
please understand, her work was done...
ISABELLA (Bella) did not come to stay.

I didnt know Bella or her family but I am good friends with the Angels Across the USA family. I am so sorry to hear about your sweet little Bella. My heart breaks for you all, I lost two adult sisters. I look at my parents faces now and there is a missing smile that I remember so well. I hope in time you will find peace and be able to breath easier. I read a book called "Heaven is for Real" by Todd Burpo. In the book it says that God most of all loves his children and I believe that to be true. This book gave me a hope that one day I will see my sisters again and I will be able to fill that hole in my heart. I recommend this book to help keep your minds busy and to look forward to something Bella knows now that is beautiful and amazing. God bless your families and keep your heads up. I will pray for you guys always.

Ruthie,
My heart aches for you and your family. Isabella was such a special baby. I will always remember her in her adorable pink outfit, her little pierced ears and the love in her precious eyes for her grandma. I was privileged to hold her for a minute and give her a sweet hug when you brought her in to work. I will hold on to that sweet memory just as you will hold on to all the wonderful, sweet and precious memories of her. May God grant you and your family peace and strength during this difficult time.
