'Big Jim'
9/24/1957 - 1/23/2014
On January 23, 2014, he succumbed to complications from a lifelong battle of Crohn's disease. He was born in Midland, Texas to James Lynn Bryd and Tahlie Byrd Martin.
He was a skilled machinist and talented musician. He was a former member of the Sacramento bands 'The Floor Huggers' and 'MKT Railroaders'.
He is survived by his children James Lynn Byrd III and Jessica Tahlie Byrd. Also by his mother Tahlie Martin, his aunt Marilynn Wheeler and Cherie Rashid, the mother of his children and his grandchildren Isaiah, Aiden, and Cash. He is also survived by his very dear friends Marcus and Karen McAllister. He was preceded in death by his grandchild Elijah Harding Clark and his stepfather Robert Martin.
There will be a Celebration of Life on March 30, 2014 at the Brooke Meadow Mobile Home Park clubhouse 3950 Mack Rd, Sac. Ca. 95823 from 2-5pm. For more info call 916-391-6044 or 916-397-7395
