James KOHLMAN Obituary

KOHLMAN, James Gerard
Born April 30, 1956, died suddenly September 29, 2010 of an unexpected heart attack.

Jim was born in Michigan and was an outstanding student and athlete. He moved to California in 1973 and continued to excel. He had his wonderful daughter Kasey when he was 29. She changed his life. The next huge change was when he met Sue 11 years ago. Tragic for all, we lost him way too young. Just the day before, he had been painting and finishing the crown molding on the inside of his father's side of the house which Jim had built in Rancho Murieta. He was a lover of golf and the blues.

Survived by life partner, Sue Sipe, and was the loving son of William and the late Dolores, brother of the late Robert Joseph Kohiman, sister Kathryn Kohlman Druliner (David), brother Thomas William Kohlman (Nancy), loving father of Kasey and loving uncle of Sarah Kohlman, Cheryl Kohlman, Rachel Kohlman Miller and Eryn Kohlman.

A funeral mass will be held Friday, October 8th at 11 :00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul, 14673 Cantova Way, Rancho Murieta with a luncheon immediately following. All are welcome. View Enhanced Obituary

To Jim's family,
It's been almost 30 years since I first met that smart, funny, talented and kind man at the Sacramento Professional Network. We worked together on the Video Interview Committee, helping people perfect their interviewing skills. Jim helped so many people in those classes to regain their confidence to interview well and get their dream jobs. He did it with skill and humor. Jim could most definitely have been an actor, given his comic timing and handsome good looks. We worked together for just a few months but all these years later he still comes to mind..and the thought brings a smile to my face. May he be resting in the arms of Jesus. May all of his family and friends be given the gift of sweet memories of the ways Jim brightened your lives.
Love, Eileen Holleran

Jimmy was as our mother said, a "oner". Everything he did was perfectly (!) Done HIS WAY. My world was a better place with Jim in it.

Sue, Linda and I cannot put into words, our sadness at Jims passing. We never got the chance to meet you, but, we felt we DID know you vicariously through Jim. He loved you as big as the sky, and would absolutely light up when he spoke of you. May God wrap His arms around you and hold you close, to help you through this, and close to His heart to give you comfort. You are in our hearts and prayers. We will all miss Jim, but only you will have the crater in your heart that only he could fill for you. May God bless you and hold you.
with sincerest sympathy

To Jim's family:

I knew Jim only thru his job of helping people select Medicare plans. He really helped us with our choices. I am sorry that he has left this world too soon. He was a real nice guy and I will miss him.

Jimmy was my brother and one of my best friends. I miss him but know he is glad to escape the madness that is our world today.

Jimmy: You may not have always been right but you were never wrong. Except about how many people would miss you and speak out about it at your passing! Kathy

Jim and I had spoken from time to time about politics, sports, and life in general. He was an engaging, interesting man possessed of much of passion. My deepest sympathies to the Kohlman Family.
