James Whitaker Obituary

James was born in Glasgow, KY, to Georgia and James Whitaker, Sr. He had four siblings: Robert, Shelvia (deceased), Clifton (deceased), and Janet (deceased).

While serving in the Army in Sacramento, CA, he met and married Linda Antonio in 1963. They had two daughters, Candace (deceased) and Christina (spouse Elaine).

For the last several years of James' career in the government, in the 1990's, he was Chief of Air Force LOGMARS Program Management Office, Systems Management Division, Director of Program Resources at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio. After retiring at 48, he and Linda started a small technology business. His work also took him to Mexico.

Through God's grace, James and his wife Linda were best friends for 62 years. They served God, raised their children, worked, traveled, entertained, and met people from many parts of the world and brought them into their extended family.
