A resident of Del Webb Sun City Lincoln Hills in Lincoln, CA, died peacefully in her home on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, after a brief battle with cancer. She was 67 years old. Born in Mt. Janet's husband of more than 25 years, Jim, passed less than a month ago. Janet is survived by her children, Sherri Brauner Conway and Doug Brauner, as well as by her seven beloved grandchildren who she loved to spoil: Katie, Kelly, Alison, Natalie, Matthew, Gretchen and Charlotte. She also leaves behind a sister and brother-in-law Mildred and Dr. Al Kahane of Alameda, formerly of Sacramneto, a brother Nicky Lindsay of Conneticut, and a sister-in-law Norma Lindsay of Ohio. Family and friends are invited for visitation, Wednesday, April 16, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at EAST LAWN MORTUARY, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento 95841 and for the Funeral Service on Thursday, April 17, at 2:00 PM at the same location above. Janet was the glue that kept our Performance Dance Group together. I won't ever forget our practice sessions in her garage. She will be greatly missed.

My heartfelt sympathy to the family.
Janet was the leader of the Pearls dancing group when I first met her. She was a great hostess for our parties and had a great sense of humor.
I will truly miss her.

Janet was a very active, fun and special person. She had such energy, organizing those wonderful bus trips, along with all the other things she was involved in. Red Hat luncheons and Bunco won't be the same without her. I will miss her.

Janet and I had so much fun just teasing and joking with eachother. We fooled around in circuit class and did a bit of exercising too. I will miss her greatly.

Janet was fun, a leader, and always ready to get us on a bus to go off on an adventure, supplying us with snacks, soda and wine. Loved her laugh and enthusiasm. She will be sorely missed by so many of us at Sun City.

My deepest sympathy to the families of Jim and Janet. I'll always remember Janet in the Italian club, when we were doing Circuit training, when we were tapping and when we were wearing our Red Hats. She was just so much fun and she enlarged my life just by being in it. I will miss her.

I'll always remember the many good times I had with Janet, especially the red hat fun we shared. She contributed so much of her humor and talents to our Dazzling Divas. Travel plans prevent me from attending her services, but I will be there in spirit.

To the family of Janet I extend my sincerest condolences. She will be very much missed here in Sun City where she touched so many lives with her smile, fun personality, tap dance participation and many other activities. Janet encouraged me to participate in our annual talent show in Sun City three years ago and our cast and crew this year dedicated our opening performance on Wednesday, April 9 to her. The cast lifted up a huge cheer in her memory before the performance. She may be gone from us but never forgotten. May she and her husband Jim now rest in peace together.
