Jeanne Good Obituary

Good, Dr. Jeanne E., Passed November 25, 2012. Her daughter, her son and his family are thankful to be with her for the end of her life. Born July 9, 1926 in Chicago Ill, Jeanne met her late husband Dr. Robert A. Good while both were studying for their PhD's in Psychology at Ohio State. They moved to Sacramento where Bob became a professor at CSUS (then Sacramento State). Jeanne started teaching at American River College and rose to Assistant Dean of Counseling. Not sure what to say?

Hello Jeanne: I've got your old photos stored at my house. I'm going to bring them to my Tahoe cabin and keep an open summertime invitation to all your grandchildren to spend a few days at the lakefront cabin, waterski and grab whatever pictures they want from the 3rd floor loft. They will be safely stored there for the next 40 years. And, of course, if I take that trip to Florida followed by a cruise through the Panama Canal back home, I'll pick up the boxes and deliver them to Glenn's house. Say "Hi" to my Brother Terry and my mom in Heaven. Much love always.

I'm having great difficulty in getting my message in this guest book.

Jeanne was one of the most gracious people I've ever met. She showed me many kindnesses from 1969 to 1983, when I retired.

I followed the progress of Ellen from Boalt to Aurora. Glenn I got to know on a Murphey trip to Baja.

Jeanne is on my list of all-time favorite people. The world is a poorer
place for her passing.

Jeanne was my main liaison with ARC. I couldn't have had a better person. She and Barbara Loughridge Howard Were two of the most hospitable persons I encountered as I visited schools to answer questions about UC Davis.

I followed Ellen's career, from Boaldt to Aurora and had the good fortune to have had Glenn with us on one of our Baja jaunts.

When I retired in 1983 , I know Jeanne was the moving spirit behind ARC giving me a warmup jacket as a gift.

Jeanne was one of the brightest light I encountered in my visits to high schools and community colleges. She was like the sister I never had.

My heart goes out to the family. We have all lost an exemplary person.

Dr. Good was the first person who hired me to work at ARC. She has the ability to remember people and make them feel special even when she has only met them for a short time. I will miss her and remember her as a special, and elegant lady.

Jeanne was one of my favorite people at ARC. Soon after she came to ARC I was dancing with her at a party and I Said" DR Good how do you like ARC and she said to me"You sure know how to make a girl feel good." We always had a great relationship after that, She was a really great person. Bruce Swinehart

Great mom with two highly successful & perfect children. Wonderful and positive personality. Staying in her own home, being independent & driving till the end (with no accidents) is a dream life. I hope I'm that lucky! She inspired so many people. She will be missed.

It was my pleasure to work with Dr. Jeanne Good in Personnel Services. She appreciated her staff and showed it. The day we surprised her with a Baby Shower for her first grandchild was special. Then we had many fun-filled Halloween Work Days, one of the best Christmas Plays in the Board Room was unforgettable and enjoyed by all in attendance. Even her Retirement Party we had to give her a good "send off", even though we would have preferred she stay a few more years.
She was so proud of her family. To her son, daughter and others, thrive on the love and good times you all shared.
