Sacramento, California - Jimmie Yee passed away peacefully at Dignity Health Hospital in Carmichael on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 after a short battle with prostate cancer.
Jimmie was born to Harry Tune Yee and Kwan Shee Yee in Seattle, WA and was the youngest of five. The family moved to Sacramento when Jimmie was a young boy. Shortly after graduation from Sacramento High School, he met and married our mother Shuet Fong (Suzy). They were married 42 years until her passing in February 3, 2000. Together they ran the family laundry business (Deluxe Laundry) until Jimmie's retirement in 1999.
Jimmie was a man of few words who had a big heart. He loved to travel, having been to various parts of the United States, China, Canada, and Europe. He enjoyed great Chinese food, funny movies and any over the top action movies.
Jimmie always put his family first and foremost, but his love of Scotch Whiskey was a very close second.
He is survived by his sons Dennis (Leslie) and Barry (Audrinette) along with 2 Granddaughters Collunisha (Danny) Torres and C'Queta (Jay) Bridges and their families which include 6 great grand children Brianna Torres, Brandon Torres, twins Vanessa and Valerie Torres, Bradley (LJ) Bridges and Cassius Bridges.
The family would like to extend a very big thank you to Andrew and his staff at Ashley Villa in Carmichael for the wonderful care they provided for our dad over the past 7 months. They made him feel at home.
Our dad will be greatly missed. Outdoor services will be held at East Lawn Folsom Blvd (46th street gate side) on Sat March 27th at 2PM. Masks will be required. Due to COVID restrictions a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
