October 10, 1966 - March 16, 2024

Elk Grove, California - Joe Manuel Hernandez, 57, of Elk Grove, CA, passed away on March 16, 2024 with his wife by his side. He was born to Max and Dolores Hernandez. Joe was a devoted husband to his loving wife Alice, and a loving father to Joe Jr. (Claudia), Vinny (Alicia), Tomas, Rosalia (Rob), Danny (Rosie), and Valentino (Nona). He dearly loved his 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He will be missed dearly by his many relatives and friends. Joe is survived by siblings Rachel, Linda, George and Mark. He is preceded in death by his siblings Max and John and 1 great grandchild. Joe was known for his great sense of humor and his love for sports. He worked at Franchise Tax Board for 24 years. Joe enjoyed fishing, collecting sports memorabilia, cruising, watching sports, listening to music, and was a fantastic cook. A Funeral Mass in memory of Joe will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 10:00 am at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 8720 Florin Rd., Sacramento.
