Uncle John was generous, he would give you the shirt off his back and NEVER missed an opportunity to make you laugh. And even if he was telling you one of his corny jokes you'd heard dozens of times, you'd laugh again cause of HIS glee. I will always love him, and appreciate how good he was to me.

As Marty's sister-in-law these past 42 years, I had many occasions to cross your path. You were always kind and thoughtful to me, showing interest in what I was up to. You helped make me feel welcomed. You were easy to talk to. Thank you for that, John. Marty has always looked up to you and is already missing you so much. The Bob Dylan song, "(Knock, Knock,) Knockin on Heaven's Door" just came to mind. A good song for you now that you have completed the last phase of your life. May God be with you.

Thanks Uncle Marty! Well said! Our dad was the best at telling stories and he was always the life of the party! We will miss him and his funky 70's and 80's attire which he never really gave up! Rest in peace with Elvis and Jack Rice, who was your greatest mentor dad!
