Jon Ferreira Obituary
FERREIRA, JON
March 6th 1952 in Elizabeth, NJ, Passed September 6th 2002 in Fair Oaks, CA. He died peacefully at home after a 6-year battle with multiple illnesses, which he fought tooth and nail. His children remember him as a close friend, the coolest dad, charming, full of advice. Friends of his look back at his life as an adventure, a challenge, a lifetime full of crazy stories, a kid at heart. Family recalls a strong-willed, against-the-grain kind of man who lived a life with few regrets. After accomplishing it all, he's finally getting the rest he's never had. He really was one-of-a-kind and will be missed deeply. His 16-year-old twin children, Shannon May and Daniel Jon Ferreira, as well as his Mother and Father, Jon and Evelyn Ferreira, wish for all friends and family to attend services at the El Dorado Hills Community Center; 1021 Harvard Way, El Dorado Hills, CA, 95762 in the Pavilion Building on Sunday, September 15t at 5:00 pm. Donations may be made to the American Association of Diabetes or The Arthritis Foundation.

Dear Shannon and Daniel, although we have not met, I have felt very close to you these days. Losing a parent is like losing a part of your foundation. Know that you have a loving family to give you support and guidance. I'm glad you felt you had a "cool Dad". That's how I remember him. Always fun to be with.
Focus on your Dad's love and be comforted that he will always be with you. Love survives everything.

Dear Aunt Eve and Uncle John, my thoughts are with you at this time of need. Just remember that he is in a better place watching over everyone he loved and that loved him. I am sure that he will be missed dearly and thought of often. Daniel and Shannon just remember all the good times that you had with your dad, as I do often about mine. And if you ever wonder if you are doing the "right thing" just think about what your father would say or do. That always helps to decide. Bless you all. Margie

Our only child will be greatly and sadly missed. But he is now free from the pain he has suffered for so long and we must take comfort in that. And his Mother's belief is in the resurrection that Christ Jesus promised us at John;5;28,29. And to our beloved grandchildren--be strong and have faith.
