Joseph PADDOCK Obituary

PADDOCK, Joseph L.
Sept. 3, 1926 - Oct. 6, 2011
Joe passed away with his family at his side, after a sudden illness of sepsis. Devoted husband to Elaine, loving father to Jody, Kevin, Kathy, Karen and Brian, 25 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He was born in Cortland, NY to Mildred and Lyman Paddock, and brother of Mary McNinch & Letitia Dory. He served with the US Navy in WWII, earned his Masters at Syracuse University, worked for Park-Davis followed by a 35-year career at IBM. Joe was a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, active in SRS, 49ers Ski Club, Traveling Elks, Senior Net, Renaissance Classes and several ministries at Divine Savior Church. He had a strong work ethic, and would selflessly sacrifice anything for his family. A faithful Catholic servant, Joe will be dearly missed by family and friends. There will be a Wake at Divine Savior Church Thurs, 10/13 at 7:00 PM and a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30AM Friday. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Divine Savior at 9079 Greenback Lane, Orangevale, CA 95662 or the Sutter Medical Center Sacramento ICU.

A true gentleman, his conduct proceeded from good will and an acute sence of proprietry, a man with whom honor was sacret, virture safe and honesty, truth and reverance a way of life. I am so glad to have known him.

Elaine & Family,
I send you my deepest sympathy. We all know this day is coming but we are never ready to let our loved one go. My God Bless you all and may Christ's Peace be with you always and particularly during this difficult time.

Dear Elaine, Jody, Lettie and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
I have wonderful memories of Joe: helping him with "computer stuff", walking to the library to see Old Tyme Movies and other adventures. He was always kind and thoughtful in everything that he did and always willing to help others.
May you find comfort in your memories and in knowing that he surely is in heaven now.
Our deepest condolences,
Adrienne and Jerry Morris

Just wanted Joseph's family to know others are thinking of you and sharing your sorrow. May Job 33:25 comfort you to know that when Joseph awakens from sleep, he will live each day to the full with youthful vigor.
May God's Word, your treasured memories and your loving family and friends continue to be a source of strength for you now and in the days ahead.
With Sincere Sympathy,
JR
