Sacramento, California - Judith "Judie" Lynn Rosemary Balshor Plummer.

Sunrise.. August 15th, 1948---- Sunset.. December 7th, 2024.

Judie was born on August 15th 1948 at Sutter Memorial Hospital here in Sacramento.

The day God gifted our lives with her.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years Robert, loving mother Marie Balshor, cherished brothers Albert J. Balshor Jr., and Jerry J Balshor (Sondra), her co-workers and several, several more relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her father Albert Antonio Balshor, grandmother's Grace Balshor & Maria Sequeira.

Judie began elementary school at Holy Angels School, then St. Josephs, graduating from St. Francis High school and on to Sacramento City College.

Judie was a loving wife, daughter, sister & friend. Her friendship with so many people she met working at Balshor Florist and throughout her life was made easy by her compassion and genuine words of encouragement to everyone she met.

At the early age of 12, she insisted that she wanted to work with her father at the flower shop and worked diligently to learn the floral trade from him. After college she was eager to return to the flower shop to work side by side with him to help him bring his flower shop vision to life. To not only provide flowers, but to touch the hearts and lives of those who walked through the shop doors and we know she has done just that.

She also enjoyed retelling stories of the several trips taken with friends and family that very much made her happy.

Goodbye our sweet darling. You will live in our hearts forever. Thank you for all that you are and all that you were to everyone who knew and loved you.

We entrust you now to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and find great comfort in the fact that you are with your beloved papa Al. May you rest in peace, our precious angel.

Viewing/visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday December 17th at W.F. Gormley & Sons Funeral Chapel. 2015 Capitol Ave Sacramento.

Rosary/ Mass will be on Wednesday December 18th at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church 1817 12th St Sacramento 10:30 a.m. Rosary...11:00 a.m. Mass. Reception to follow at the Willow Ballroom 10724 CA-160 in Hood, Ca.

Private Burial/Entombment on Thursday December 19th at 11 a.m.

St. Mary's Cemetery and Funeral Center.

Sending my condolences on Judie's passing. She was always nice and provided good customer service (as did all other staff) the times I was a customer at Balshor's.
Sorry to see Balshor's close, but a well-earned retirement is due. It will be sad to see the empty shop. But, I'm glad Balshor's was part of the Sacramento community for over 70 years.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know how deeply sorry I am to learn of Judie's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this most difficult time. Judie,
You inherited your smile from Mama Marie. After my father died, I asked you if you could copy my dad signature from an invoice. You did it perfectly. I bought a dozen roses and you signed the card Norman. I gave a dozen roses to my sister, Mary, and you signed my dad´s name Mary thought the roses came from heaven. You always smiled and had a kind word for me when I went in to see Mama Marie in the chair.
Judie you are in Mary and my thoughts and prayers. I know you were in heaven with Al.

Judie will be missed by everyone who knew her. She embodied sweetness and kindness in all she did. I remember when my grandsons were not quite two and not quite sure about Santa. Judie came to our house dressed as Santa on Christmas Eve and absolutely enchanted both of them. She was the ultimate compassionate caregiver.

My condolences to the Balshor family. So very sorry to hear about Judy's passing . Judy and I were classmates at St. Joseph & St Francis. She was always very nice and we were always friendly and pleasant to each other. Several years ago I passed by the flower shop and went in to say hello, hadn't seen her in years......I said I had my mother in the car and as I was leaving, Judy came up with some flowers and said give these to your mom !! SO very nice of her........my mother was thrilled! That's my fond memory of Judy, may she rest in peace.

Judy and I had become very close friends. She always said to me, you are my sister. I am so glad I saw her the morning of her accident. When I left the florist she said "I will call you tonight". Judy ,you will be dearly missed however I know you are with Our Dear Lord and your dad. You will remain in my heart forever. With all my love ,prayers and blessings.
