Julie HOLLINGSHEAD Obituary
HOLLINGSHEAD, Julie Diane (Updegraff)
Born November 20, 1953, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, Feb 7, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. Julie was born in Sacramento to Donald and Beverly Updegraff and grew up in Clarksburg. She was the love of her husband Richard Hollingshead's life, and he will miss her deeply. Julie is survived by her husband, Richard; her two children, Brooks (Aaron), and Christopher (Michelle) and her five siblings. She loved being 'Grammy' to her five grandchildren: Hannah, Landon, Allie, Legend, and Max. She always looked forward to her kids and grandkids coming to town. Everyone who knew Julie fell in love with her and her infectious smile. She worked in the medical profession for 30 years. Julie, along with her husband, enjoyed the beach, early morning garage sales, antique shopping, eating out, and working in their garden. Julie enjoyed life to its fullest. She will be missed! In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society in Julie's name. All are welcome to attend her Celebration of Life at Clarksburg Community Church on Friday, February 15th at 1pm and a luncheon at her home immediately after the service.

We are so sad to hear of Julie's passing. Although we have not seen her for for quite some time we will always remember her. One of my (Kathy) memories of her while we were growing up in Clarksburg was her cutest long curled ponytail. Julie was a beautiful person to be around and a bright light in this world. My thoughts are with you all. I knew Julie from Dr. Calkin's Office. No matter what, Julie got me in. Every time she greeted me with that great smile. We had occasionally met for cocktails. I was so proud to hang out with her. I will never forget her. As said at her service, Julie loved life and made everyone feel loved.

Dearest Julie, the world has lost such a bright light. The years we spent working together in Oak Park will always remain some of my fondest memories. I can still picture you cruising down the river road in your white Mustang like it was just yesterday. Man, we had fun, didn't we? Julie worked at our doctor's office for many years. Whenever we went to the doctor she always greated us with a smile, twinkle in her eyes and she often had something very witty to say. We will always remember Julie fondly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Julie was my very close high school friend. Our hearts break to hear of her passing. She had a beautiful smile and personality that would light up a room!
