to Joan,s family. My prayerful sympathies to you.. I knew your mother well having had many committee meetings together. Joan was a very consistent worker, and had a good sense of humor which helped in serious times. She is a great example of the role of lay women in the Church.l was always in admiration of her. Peace and condolences to all of Joan's family and friends...my prayers are with you in this time of loss. I have many fond memories of working with Joan at St. Mary's for so many years ~ she was a blessing to so many people who's lives she touched through her ministries. She will be missed ~ May she rest in peace.

Joan was instrumental in our conversion to the catholic faith in 1995. I was awed by her ability to reach children and adults and help them on their journey of faith. It was a pleasure to know her and I'm proud to be a catechist with St. Mary Parish RCIA team. She was an inspiration to her parish and the diocese of Sacramento. I will remember her each time I go up the stairs to the Marian Room at St. Mary's. My prayers are with her family in their sorrow at her passing.
