Keith Anderson Obituary


ANDERSON, Keith Leroy
Age 65 passed away peacefully Sunday, July 20, 2008 in Paradise, CA. He was born January 14, 1943 in Thompson, Iowa. He was the third of eight siblings. He joined the U.S. Army when he was 17 and was stationed in Germany and then did a duty in Viet Nam as an advisor to the French Army. Keith enjoyed taking trips up and down the California coast in his Jaguar. He lived in Sacramento for many years and worked as an accountant for about 30 years. After he retired from Northern Sacramento School District he then moved to Magalia, CA. He is survived by sons Justin Anderson, Matthew Anderson and daughter Gabrielle Whitehurst. Siblings include brothers Robert Anderson, Dale Anderson and Henry Shaffer; sisters Sharon Mathey, Susan Lucas and Suzanne Kline. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Aunt Lavina Peterson, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Helen Shaffer and Tilford Anderson and brother Norman Shaffer. The memorial service will be Monday, July 28, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Old Magalia Historical Chapel at 13700 Old Skyway, Magalia, CA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Newton-Bracewell Funeral Homes who handled the arrangements.
