Ken GRAYSON Obituary

GRAYSON, Ken
Ken Grayson, a longtime manager with the California Department of Social Services, has died at age 68 of complications of pancreatic cancer. Ken was born in Billings, Montana on June 9, 1941. He attended high school and college in Southern California. The focus of his career was helping people through his work in social programs, including child support enforcement, welfare reform, disability evaluation and food distribution. He loved classic cars and always had a restoration project in progress. In January 2006, Ken and his wife moved from Sacramento to the peace and beauty of the Ozarks where they were embraced by a warm and caring community, and most especially by their Blue Eye United Methodist church family. Ken is survived by his wife, Nina; mother, Thelma; daughters Kathryn and Nicole, and son, Keith, as well as his loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Stan; brother, Kurt; and son, Scott. He was much loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9th 2010 at Blue Eye United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful for donations made in Ken's name to Christian Associates of Table Rock Lake to support the community Food Pantry.
