Larry BOWA Obituary

Larry William Bowa, age 63, entered into rest Thursday, September 24, 2015 in Fort Smith Arkansas. He resided in Bokoshe Oklahoma for a short time. He was preceded in death by his parents Larry Sr and LaVerne Bowa and brother Robert. Survivors include wife Melissa Bowa of Bokoshe OK, brother Frank Bowa, nephew Paul Sr and great-nephew Paul Jr, all of Sacramento. Larry retired from Sacramento County Sheriff's Dept. Communication Center, after 27 years of service. He was also a volunteer Fire Fighter for the City of Sacramento Fire Department for 27 years. Memorial Service will be held at Haggin Oaks Golf Course Pavilion on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 6:30pm. Burial will be held Friday, 10am at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Honorary Pall Bearers: Dave Keene, Armando Jaramillo, Charles Avis, Joe Avis, Rudy Justinich. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that any donations be made to the Star 6 Foundation, or the Sacramento Area Fire Fighters Burn Institute.

Larry was so much fun to work with at the Comm Center. He always had a great story to tell. I will miss his subtle wit & funny little laugh. He was a kind hearted person and he will be missed by all who knew him.
