Laura Joyce MIKLOS

1942 - 2016

Laura was born January 26, 1942, and passed away May 21, 2016 both in Sacramento, CA. She was a loving and devoted woman, putting friends and family before herself, always planning holidays and get-togethers, spending time with loved ones, and making memories at every turn. Laura Joyce Miklos was born Laura Joyce Batalo. She was raised in West Sacramento by her loving parents Albert S. and Olivia B. Batalo and graduated from James Marshall High School. Laura is loved by her husband of 18 years, Gary Miklos of Granite Bay. Laura was blessed with three children: Denise (married to Jim Slabaugh), Steve Dotson (married to Angie) and Nichole Fernandez. Affectionately known as Nana, Laura's life was enriched by her grandchildren Steven, James, Tyler, Kevin, Kaela, Lindsey and Isaac; and great-grandchildren Kayleigh Jewel, Tucker and Tanner. It was also an honor for Laura to be a wonderful mother, mother-in-law and Nana to Michael Miklos (wife Anita and daughter Ana Sofia) and Matthew Miklos (wife Amanda and children Olivia, Maxwell and Nora). "The Sound Of Music" was her favorite movie. "The Way You Look Tonight" was her favorite song, and true to the song, Laura looked her best at every occasion. Visitation will be held Friday May 27 at 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM and Rosary followed by Mass Of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 PM, both at Calvary Cemetery Chapel, 7101 Verner Avenue, Citrus Heights, CA with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Her family invites any and all family and friends to join us in celebrating her life.
