Manuel Salcido

1937 - 2025

Manuel Salcido entered into the peace of Jesus on October 17, 2025, at the age of 88, in the home where he raised his family. He passed peacefully with his daughter, Toni, and his devoted caregiver, Rashelle, by his side.

Manuel is survived by his four daughters and their husbands: Toni and Randy Henry, Mona Salcido and Pedro Cardona, Trina and Phil Spiniello, and Mandi and Nick Larson. He was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren - Chrissa Salcido, Brady Henry, Zach Henry, Isabella Thomas, and Gracie Larson - who brought him endless joy.

Born on May 17, 1937, in Azusa, California, to Dionisio Salcido and Sara Castro-Salcido, Manuel grew up in a hard-working family and is survived by four of his six siblings: Carmen, Rudy, Annie, and Mike, along with many nieces and nephews.

Manuel shared 53 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Marian Bermudez Salcido, before she went to be with Jesus in November 2016.

A kind and generous man, Manuel never hesitated to help those in need - often giving a stranger his last dollar or even the shirt off his back. He spent 36 dedicated years working for the State of California as a space planner, a role he took great pride in as it allowed him to faithfully provide for his family and mentor up and coming architects.

To his daughters, Manuel was a fun and loving dad - the one who played catch in the yard, made delicious meals, drew creative designs on our paper bag book covers, built blanket forts, and taught us how to find joy in life's simple moments. He had a soft spot for animals and often came home with new pets - to our delight and our mother's dismay.

Dad cheered us on in everything we did and was endlessly proud of his family. We are deeply grateful to God that he is now free from the pain and challenges of chronic illness. Above all, we thank the Lord for the gift of his life and the lasting impact he made on everyone who knew him.
