Sacramento, California - Marolyn Theresa Harris (1939-2022)
Marolyn Theresa Harris, 83, of Sacramento, CA, passed away on Saturday May 7th, 2022 of congestive heart failure.
Marolyn was born on Feb 12th, 1939 to Z.Bud and Barbara Meredith in Sacramento, CA. After attending Sacred Heart Parish School, she attended St. Francis High School before graduating from Bishop Armstrong High School in 1957.
After high school, Marolyn met her husband, Ken Harris, while working at Muir Playground through the City of Sacramento. They fell in love and were married three years later on May 28th, 1960. They were married for just short of 62 years.
Marolyn attended Sacramento City College and Mercy College of Nursing where she received an X-Ray Technology Certification. She worked as an X-Ray Technician for several different companies throughout her career. Marolyn took a step back from work and devoted her time to her children once they began their education at Holy Spirit Parish School, where she was an active member of the school's Mothers Club. Marolyn also volunteered at Holy Spirit Parish, where she taught incoming Catholics for the RCIA Program and brought communion to those in nursing homes throughout the Sacramento area.
Marolyn is survived by her husband, Ken Harris Sr., sons Ken Harris Jr. (Margaret) and Patrick Harris (Karen), and daughter Kimberly Bullock (Daniel). She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Matthew, Benjamin, Riley, Luke, Jacob, and Ryan, whom she adored and loved spending time with, and her three sisters, twin sister Carolyn Granucci (Robert), Barbara Pauly (Gerald), and Sally Dotters (Richard), whom she was extremely close with.
A Rosary and Mass of Christian burial was celebrated with family on Thursday May 26th, 2022.
