WASH, Martha Piltz
Passed away at home surrounded by family and friends in Rocklin on April 27, 2005. Beloved mother, wife, partner, friend and grandmother. Born in Bottrop, Germany on October 19, 1924. Vivacious and lively, singer, dancer, and world traveler loved by all and loved all in return. Survived by loving friend and partner Don Rising; children Rita Wash Fraser and husband David, Linda Wash Vittitow and husband Larry, Barbara Wash Dill and husband Jeff, and John Thomas Wash and wife Theresa; loving grandchildren Zeke, Aaron, Andrew, Wendy, JD, Monica, Marissa, and Maria. Friends are welcome for a visitation at East Lawn Mortuary, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento on Friday, April 29, 2005 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and to attend services on Saturday at 10:00 AM, also at East Lawn. Burial services will follow. "Martha, wir liebst dich, immer!"

I met Marta the first time at Octoberfest at McClellan AFB. She was very warm and welcoming to me. Don also. I watched her and Don dance and have a blast. I watched her family loose at the beer drinking contest (they should have won, the other family cheated). Marta was so proud of her family and was such a wonderful, caring, loving person. I will miss Marta. I knew her such a short time, but even that was enough to know Marta. By thinking of Marta, she is still with me.

Having only known Martha for snippets of time at the hospital, to be said of her, 'she loved all and was loved by all,' is truly a wonderful statement. Marthas love will be missed but never forgotten. All the staff at the lab will miss her!
Our greatest gift is God, and to God, our greatest gift, Martha!

Cheers to Marta! She is such an inspiration to living life to the fullest. It is an honor to know her and celebrate many family functions with her. Her singing and dancing will always be a part of her legacy.
