My husband also died of ALS in August of last year. He was 47. I want to thank you for publishing the ALS society information again. Perhaps soon, so many people will not have to suffer as our loved ones did. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Dear Jan - I was so shocked to read about Martin in today's paper, and my heart goes out to you and his family. I can't think of anything worse than to lose a child. Having Martin as a friend of our family during his teenage motorcycling days was truly a pleasure. Heaven has gained a new angel who'll be able to fix anything up there that needs fixing. Love, Joye
