Marty Hume Obituary

Marty Hume
February 16, 1934 - July 13, 2021
Citrus Heights, California - Marty passed away as his loving daughter, Janice Clark, held his hand, chatting with him as he spoke his last words. He was eighty-seven years old.
He and Thelma Louise Kintzley met while working at Aerojet and were married on May 30th, 1959. He is survived by his wife, Thelma, his four children Steven, Janice Clark, Roger, and Patrick, six grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren, and his brother, Richard.
Marty loved baseball and pitched for Sacramento High School and pitched Sacramento City Jr. College to the state championship in 1953. He earned a Master's degree in U.S. History and loved reading. He was cheerful, upbeat, and always had a smile for everyone.
He gave his family the most valuable thing any father could; his time and his love. His nephew said, "he was always full of love, full of jokes, and one of the most thoughtful people I know" That's how we'll all remember him. Love you, dad.
