Doc Ochs was a genuinely nice man, lots of fun to talk to. He was also a devoted friend. I remember how he doted on his friends. We should all be so lucky as to have a Doc like him. I regret that I did not "drop in" on Doc and that he passed away before I had the chance to have one last chat with him. I remember Doc Ochs very fondly. I never knew him as a practicing physician but I have heard from his former patients, now friends, how involved he was in their care. They really don't make them like him any more, well, not often enough anyway. He truly will be missed.

Thank you, to those friends and colleagues who have shared their memories of my father. It has been a great comfort to my family.
He will be greatly missed.

Mel was a grand old man and a friend for 38 years. He helped Dr Whisenhunt and I start start our practice.
I am sorry I can't be there to honor him, but he would be the first to understand.
I'll miss my old friend.
Doc

My condolences to the family.
My family was among Dr. Och's first patients when he began his practice in Sacramento in the Fruitridge shopping center. We remained patients until his retirement. He was the best!
