I was saddened to hear of the loss of such a great man. I knew Mike from his many years of dedicated membership to the California Emergency Services Association (CESA) and have been aware of the great things he had accomplished. My deepest condolences.

Mike was a beloved friend. I was only able to see him once in the past few years, but I will always cherish the memories of our growing up together as neighbors in Canoga Park. I am truly sorry that I could not make his funeral; my parents are there in my stead. Give my condolences to Maggie and John. My love will always be with his memory.

From San Bernardino County OES, I worked with Mike for many years coordinating our volunteer programs. He was consistently patient and supportive, and more importantly a good friend. I appreciated his love of the State of Washington as I lived there many years ago. Thank you Mike for blessing us with your knowledge, experience and especially your friendship. I will miss you.

I miss you brother. Port Townsend will never be the same but rest assured we will take care of it for you and the family. You always had a positive outlook and I cannot remember anything negative coming out of your mouth. Thank you for the blessing of being my brother-in-law for over 29 years and teaching me so much about life. My thoughts and prayers to your family (Debby, Ben, and Kimmee) and your brother and sister. Say 'hi' to your mom for me.

My sweet friend, you will always hold a place in my heart. You were the one who was always there for me as I grew up - the dad I never had. Our tubing trips down the flumes, jumping off boulders in Feather River, the video arcades, bowling, and so much more. You gave me back the childhood that was taken away from me. Then you married an amazing woman, that accepted me and loved me as well. As I became an adult, you told me how proud you were of me, and what I'd become. You are now receiving your reward, for taking care of that little girl that wasn't yours, before you had your own beautiful family...I am so very grateful for your love and generosity, and I will carry it in my heart forever.

A great coworker and office partner and all around nice guy. I will miss not helping you work on your property in Port Townsend. Debby, Ben, and Kimee- May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. - 1
