Michael Towne Obituary
Mike is survived by his wife, Marina, stepson Alexander (Amanda) Baxter, and granddaughter Sophia; sister Georgia Eldridge and brother-in-law Robert Eldridge. Nephews Robert (Jeanine) Eldridge, Jr., Douglas (Joanie) Eldridge; and Jackie (Evie) Baker; along with many grand nieces and grand nephews. Mike is predeceased by his parents George Towne and Signe Towne, his sister Janet Baker, and his nephew Joe Baker.
Mike was born in Iowa on August 16, 1940 and moved with his family to West Sacramento in 1954. He graduated from James Marshall High in 1958. He lived and worked in northern California for PG&E and retired in December 1994 from their Auburn office. Outside of his work, Mike found joy in music, dancing, family, friends and various hobbies, including outdoor pursuits like camping, fishing, hunting and the myriad projects he was never without.
He will be deeply missed and forever held in our hearts.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 11, at the Auburn First Congregational Church, 710 Auburn Ravine Rd, Auburn, CA. Reception to follow in the church hall.
