Minerva (Minnie) Jimenez

January 13, 1927 - February 24, 2025

Sacramento, California - Minnie Jimenez, age 98, died peacefully in her sleep February 24th surrounded by family and friends. Minnie is survived by her, daughter Evelyn Escobar-Borba, son Edward Escobar, grandsons Martin Gutierrez, Thomas Romero, Lenny Romero Jr., great-granddaughter Chloe Gutierrez, and great-grandsons Henry Romero and George Romero. Minnie is preceded in death by her husband Ted Jimenez, daughter Olivia Romero, son Ted Jimenez Jr., and grandson Nicholas Escobar.

Minnie was born in Del Paso, Texas and started working at the Campbell's Soup Plant in Sacramento in 1956 where she met her husband Ted. She retired in 1986 after 30 years of service. Minnie enjoyed volunteering with charitable and church organizations and spending time with her family.

Memorial Services will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025 at St. Mary's Chapel at 2:00 p.m. The St. Mary Cemetery and Funeral Center is located at 6509 Fruitridge Road, Sacramento, CA 95820.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Minnie's name to the Immaculate Conception Church.

I just came across the news that Minnie had passed away. She was so sweet.. she would come into the store I worked at (macys).. ifound our early on that she knew my husband's grandmother from the Campbell soup company ..I am truly sorry to the family for the loss of such a beautiful lady..

Minnie was such a fun person, so full of life. I enjoyed talking with her at Mass. I will miss her smile and laughter. She will be missed.
