Myron Fischer Obituary

Myron Walter Fischer, a long-time resident of Rocklin and Granite Bay, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2016. He was born on June 21, 1934 to Edna and Walter Fischer in French Camp and was raised in Lodi. He graduated from Lodi Union High School in 1952. Following high school, he attended Cal Poly and then joined the Army. After his honorable service he worked a ski instructor in Tahoe where he met his first wife of 27 years, Mary LaJuan Hollars. Myron worked as a Proposal Manager at Aerojet Rocketdyne for 34 years and enjoyed travelling in his RV, fishing and gardening. He is survived by his daughters: Dani Fischer, Deanna Fischer; step-daughters: Vickie Jenkins, Virginia Franklin; grandchildren: Trevor O'Neil, Kathryn O'Neil, Megan Keen, Heather Ashby, Stacy Grant, Jack Franklin; 7 great-grandchildren; sister: Delores Decker. Myron was preceded in death by his wife Mary and step-son Velton Cole. A graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Cherokee Memorial Park, Hwy 99 and Harney Lane, Lodi CA. A Celebration of Life will take place immediately following at The Dancing Fox in Lodi, CA. www.dancingfoxwinery.com
