Nancy Liang Obituary
March 26, 1951 - May 26, 2025
Sacramento, California - Nancy Liang, age 74, passed away on May 26, 2025, at her home in Sacramento, CA, with family and friends by her side.
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Wilkie Adam Liang, and her son, Lawrence Adam Liang, both of Sacramento.
Nancy is survived by her brothers, Sam Massie and Jerry Massie; her sisters, Lois Jane Hammond and Judy Crawford; and her sister-in-law, Thanisa "Da" Massie all residing in North Carolina.
She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Walter Liang and Michael Liang of Sacramento; her sister-in-law, Paulette Norberg; and her brother-in-law, Doug Norberg of San Francisco, CA.
Nancy had several cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as her cherished Sacramento friends: Mina, Melinda, Claire, Bonnie, and Marilyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Van Massie and Alma Medford Massie of Candler, NC.
Nancy lived in Candler, NC, and graduated from Enka High School in 1969. She worked in commercial insurance in Asheville, NC, before continuing her career in Sacramento, CA, in 1986. She retired from Jenkins Insurance Services in 2014.
Nancy had a deep love for the arts and enjoyed theater, musicals, and concerts. She also loved visiting wineries and local nurseries to find flowers and plants. She had a keen eye for design and loved decorating her space. She especially adored her beloved dachshund, Cooper.
Her kind and caring nature will always be remembered by those who knew her.
Burial will be held Thursday, July 3rd, 2025 at 1:15 p.m. at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA.

Nancy was my sister-in-law for nearly 40 years. She married into a large extended family and encountered traditions and foods she wasn't familiar with but she blended into the clan seamlessly.
We will miss her smile, her kind, considerate presence at family gatherings.
