January 26, 2013. Of Citrus Heights, CA, and a long time former resident of Gahanna, OH. A Native of Burley, ID, age 84 years. Son of Aquilla Farr and Rhoda Margretta (Christensen) Farr. He married Geraldine (Cherry) Grix in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on August 7, 1952. After 2 years of service in the Army, Neil had a successful career in the Nuclear Power Industry as a Control Systems Engineer. Throughout his life he was dedicated to serving others, particularly the youth. Neil was young at heart and thoroughly enjoyed scout trips, camp fundraisers, service projects, sledding, and a good water balloon fight. He served in many callings in the LDS Church including Bishop, and as a Counselor to the President of the Columbus, OH Temple. Neil's defining characteristics were his faith in Jesus Christ, his life-long service to his Church and his love for his family. He adored his wife, his children and grandchildren. Dear Aunt Cherry, Although we didn't get to visit much throughout my childhood, I remember the "Uncle Neil" visits well. I would sit capitivated by his stories. I would imagine he and Mom [Rhoda Mae] and Aunt Yvonne are having quite the chat right now!

Dear Cherry, We were so sad to hear of Neil's passing. Quite often I quote him..."Church should be fun. If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right." We will always remember the water balloon activities and his wild, loud shorts!! We miss you. You are in our prayers.
Love, Julie & David
