Neola Ehret Obituary

EHRET, Neola (Nickerson)
Neola was born on August 7, 1928, the only child of Mervyn and Dorothy Nickerson. She passed away on January 23, 2009. Neola was raised and lived her entire life in Sacramento. She attended Sac High and graduated in 1946. Most of her life she spent as a homemaker and mother, but after her children were raised she took a job as a tax preparer and teacher for H&R Block for several years until she retired. Neola was preceded in death by her youngest son George Ehret in 2007. She leaves behind son Coleman Ehret and daughter-in-law Melanie of Fair Oaks, Calif., and daughter Christine Hronek and son-in-law Steve of Cameron Park, Calif. She also leaves seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. No services are planned at this time, but donations could be sent in her name to the S.P.C.A., as she was an avid supporter.

Neola’s son George was one of my best friends during my high school years. When young George and Neola where kidding around with each other I will always remember how they would laugh. I will also remember when she found out my parent had a fig tree. She made sure that I drop off a box or two of figs every year until her fig tree started producing. We all will hold on to our memories and remember the good times. My thoughts and prayers go out to Christine, Cole and the entire Ehret family.
