Yes, Paul was my brother, but he was also my friend, my rock, my adviser and occasionally my co-conspirator. As the two oldest, we were allies on matters large and small over the years. While I am consoled that Paul is with Our Father in heaven, still, his passing has left a hole in my heart that cannot be mended or repaired until we are together again in the next life.

As a member of the Naleway Clan, I find comfort in the support of our family. Terry and Jack, your strength is amazing and I am glad that you are a part of this clan. Paul had great faith. He left me with peaceful memories of his final week, which included humor such as eating gorilla food and enjoying that foot massage. He was always a giving brother, thinking of others first. A long time ago, I remember Paul asking me to wash his “Dodge Challenger”. As payment, Paul let me drive it to my Homecoming Dance. Boy, my date and I were so glad for the deal, since we did not want to be seen in a station wagon. He made the offer seem like I was helping him out, but I knew better. Paul, you live on in our hearts.

Paul is the first Naleway sibling that this family has lost, the significance of the loss to this family is not comparable to any loss of a truly loved brother. There is never a time that is appropriate or 'ok' to lose someone that is loved; life does not allow us the opportunity to truly appreciate those quiet souls that touch us each day with a simple smile or laughter of understanding. I know that Steve, as all of the Naleway siblings, will remember Paul for his kindness. I can't personally think of a nicer way to be remembered.

Paul was the elder brother who became my first friend and roommate for the first twelve years of my life. He helped guide me in those early years and I am thankful for the positive influence he had on my life. I looked up to him then and even more so now, knowing how he has positively touched the lives of others. He will be greatly missed but not forgotten.

The loss of our brother Paul is heartbreaking for the entire Naleway Clan. He was such a good and devoted man…to his incredible wife, Terry; to his awesome son, Jack; to his loving parents, siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, etc. Paul was also extremely devoted in his faith. May we all find great comfort that Paul is in heaven, reaping his rewards for living his life as a strong Christian and a good man. While our family gatherings will never be the same with the loss of our brother, I know Paul will be with us in spirit, laughing and being goofy along with us. We will all be together one day for the best Naleway Clan bimba ever. Love,

As the youngest brother, I looked up to Paul as an honest, hard working, fun-loving and good man, and he always looked out for me. I enjoyed the time we spent working together at the Sizzler Steakhouse, where he let me hang with him and his friends; taught me the fine art of cooking steaks; and introduced me to the girl to whom I have been married for 25 years (plus he had that cool blue Dodge Challenger). Paul, your kindness and good humor are missed - you will never be forgotten.
